International Day of the Disappeared

On the International Day of the Disappeared, the IHL Centre stand in solidarity with the thousands of families across Syria and the region who continue to seek truth, justice, and closure for their missing loved ones. 

The discovery of mass graves underscores the urgency of independent investigations, protection of evidence, accountability for perpetrators, and the meaningful inclusion of families, especially women in justice and memory processes. Supporting the newly established National Commission for the Missing in Syria is vital to ensure dignity and truth for victims. At the IHL Centre, we remain committed to advancing justice and standing in solidarity with families in their relentless search for answers.
