Statement on the Destruction of Cultural and Religious Property and the Protection of Civilian Objects in Lebanon

Due to the ongoing escalation of hostilities in Lebanon, the IHL Centre has issued a statement on the destruction of cultural and religious property and the protection of civilian objects, expressing grave concern over reports of entire villages and towns being destroyed, damage to UNESCO-recognized heritage sites, and the targeting of cultural and religious sites in southern Lebanon.
