
Midterm Evaluation of Sri Lanka Country Strategy
Diakonia seeks to contract a consultant or consultant firm to conduct a midterm evaluation for the Country Strategy of Sri Lanka (2021-2025). The purpose of this evaluation is to establish how the Country Strategy has been able to address the change processes of Diakonia Sri Lanka during the first two years of the strategy.
Diakonia is a Swedish non-profit and non-political organisation for international development cooperation and humanitarian assistance, operating on feminist principles. The organization currently works through local offices in 25 countries located in Africa, Latin America, Middle East, and Asia by supporting local partners. Diakonia’s vision is a just, equal, and sustainable world. The goal of Diakonia is to change unfair political, economic, social, and cultural structures that cause poverty, oppression, inequality, and violence.
In Sri Lanka, Diakonia provides funding support to partner organizations to work towards sustainable change whilst promoting a holistic approach by mainstreaming conflict sensitivity, gender equality, and environment. Diakonia also aims to strengthen civil society through networking, creating synergies, and collaborations to empower marginalised people in asserting their rights.
The evaluation
Diakonia Sri Lanka seeks the service of a qualified and experienced consultant/ company to conduct its midterm evaluation for the current Country Strategy, which is from 2021 to 2025. The purpose of this evaluation is to establish how the Diakonia Sri Lanka Country Strategy implemented through partner organizations has been able to address the change processes of Diakonia Sri Lanka through the work of partner organizations during the first two years of the strategy, in order to advise the future implementation and priorities for the Diakonia Sri Lanka Country Strategy within the general development context.

Deadline for accepting full proposals for this engagement in line with the ToR is March 20, 2023.
