Finance and Administration Officer – Programme
Diakonia, a Swedish development organisation, would like to appoint a Finance and Administration Officer (FAO) for Bangladesh Country Office to perform the following major duties and responsibilities:
Manage programmes and projects finance and administration at the country office
Assist Country Director in managing programme finance at the country office
Prepare and follow up annual programme budget for country office, in consultation with programme team
Assess projects’ budgets, financial reports and audit reports
Project monitoring: field visits, meetings, and follow up of partners on financial and administrative systems and practices
Prepare financial reports and logistical arrangements for partners’ capacity building events
Maintain project information into both hard copies and soft copies
Assist in budget preparation for resource mobilisation
Assist in reporting to back donors
Assist development and implementation of country projects and programmes based on established guidelines, policies, strategy planning, budget and other steering documents
Support the Country Director in the strategic development of the programme
Assist in planning of programme and partner capacity building budgets
Education: M.Com. in Accounting/Finance. Applicants with CA (CC) from a reputed audit firm would be preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience with similar responsibilities
Report to: Country Director
Job nature: Full-time
Job duration: Open-ended
Job location: Dhaka (required to travel outside Dhaka to project locations)
Working hours are normally office hours, but travel occurs
Monthly gross salary: According to Diakonia scale Tk 56,456
Additional job requirements
To have sound knowledge in project’s financial management and support related activities.
To have good analytical skill, excellent interpersonal communication skills both in English and Bangla, good command in MS Office, especially in Excel and relevant software.
