Diakonia is recruiting a Finance and Administration Assistant as part of its Cambodia Country Office team
Placement: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Duration: 2020 to 2024

Position Reports to: Country Director
Are you the one we’re looking for?
Under the guidance and supervision of the Country Director for Cambodia, the Finance and Administration Assistant provides financial and administration services ensuring high quality, accuracy and consistency of work. The Finance and Administration Assistant assists the Country Director and the Finance and Administration Officer (for Grant Management) in the elaboration of resource requirements.
This position will assist the Country Director and the Finance and Administration Officer for program grants
Assist the Country Director and the Finance and Administration Officer for Program (for Grant Management) to assess budget, financial and audit reports from partners
Scan, uploading, filing and archiving of finance related grant documents and partner’s documents (both hard and soft copies)
Assist in matters of strengthening of partners capacity to fulfil back donors’ compliance and Diakonia guidelines and policies
Assist in preparing budget proposal
Arrange document for project/program audits
Conduct cash count with Finance and Administration Officer for office
Review procurement/financial documents which is spending by Finance and Administration Officer for office
Assist in finance and administration matters related to the Diakonia partners
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Diploma or bachelor degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or other related areas.
Minimum 2 years of budgeting, accounting and finance, and administration
Minimum 2 years of experiences working with partner coordination in relation to accounting, finance and grant.
Good interpersonal skills and commitment
Ability to work as part of a multi-cultural team and relate to staff in a proactive and contextual manner
COMPETENCE FOR POSITION
Personal maturity and social skills
Ability to communicate proficiently in spoken and written English and Khmer
Capacity to work in teams, as well as taking own initiatives and work with minimum supervision
Good administrative skills and well-organised
Good computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, accounting software QuickBook, Microsoft Dynamic AX etc.)
MERITS FOR POSITION
Experience of working with NGOs, CBOs and donors
Experience of working with European Commission and/or other potential back donors
Familiar with Diakonia and/or our partner organisations
Knowledgeable in Gender Equality
Applicant needs to hold Cambodian citizenship.
