How does Diakonia work?

Diakonia supports more than 400 partner organisations in about 30 countries. Together we form a global network of people, organisations and churches working together for justice and dignity.

Our goal is a fair and sustainable development in which living standards for the most vulnerable people are improved, and democracy, human rights and gender equality are respected.

Marjorie Temoche is ten years old and a member of an organisation which is supported by Diakonia’s partner organisation Flora Tristán. Boys were favoured previously, but Marjorie believes she will have the same rights as her male classmates when she grows up.
