Results and highlights

Results of Diakonia's and our partners work are reported on a yearly basis. Follow the links to the left to read some of the  highlights from our reporting the past years.

Overall goal

The goal of Diakonia and our partners efforts is a fair and sustainable development in which living standards for the most vulnerable people are improved, and democracy, human rights and gender equality are respected.

Reports from partners

Diakonia's partner organisations report back to Diakonia on a regular basis. Diakonia summarizes the reports into a annual report where we can analyse what the general progress looks like and decide upon improvements that must be made.

Diakonia's reports to financiers and back donors

Naturally, Diakonia also reports back to our financiers and back donors, according to the agreements with them. Normally, this also takes place on a yearly basis. Some of our financiers are the Swedish Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), the EU, UN, the Swedish Postcode Lottery and embassies.

Quality assurance - evaluations

As a natural part of our work with quality assurance, we undertake both internal and external evaluations of our own and partners' work.

In 2011 we undertook a total of 74 surveys and evaluations, made at different levels. At times by Diakonia staff, other times by external consultants.

During the years 2008-2010 more than 200 evaluations and studies were carried out.

Diakonia's annual financial report

The annual financial report is published in June each year. You are most welcome to download your copy here at the web site:

Annual reports

Ghada is one of many enthuisiastic changemakers in Diakonia's global network. She works bravely and stubbornly together with others to give young women in Egypt power over their bodies and lives. Her dedicated work has paid off. Female genital mutilation has declined radically in the area where she and the Diakonia partner BLACD are active. Photo: Aida Burnett-Cargill
